Chair Fitness

The trick is to keep moving... and occasionally dance in your chair.

The seated movement classes are designed especially for older adults, beginners, or anyone who might feel unsure about standing for long periods — whether due to age, injury, or simply needing a gentler way to get back into moving. Don’t be fooled by the chair — you’ll be amazed how much we can do from a seated position!

Each class blends simple, enjoyable exercises to help improve strength, mobility, balance, co-ordination, and everyday functional movement. We also gently stimulate the brain with patterns, rhythm, and playful sequences to support mind-body connection and boost cognitive health — all in a fun, pressure-free atmosphere.

Expect a mix of uplifting music, light-hearted moments, and plenty of smiles. We might use resistance bands, soft balls, or hand weights, but the real magic is in the movement — and the community. These sessions aren’t just good for your body; they’re great for your mood and your social life, too.
